My baby sister, Kristy, won the “America’s Best Griller” contest on The Rachael Ray show and I want to enjoy NYC with her! From dinner in the Pan Am Building, lunch at The Plaza and happy hour at the W Hotel; my little mini-vacation to New York City was as good as it gets!
I say, when in Portland, do as the Portlandians do, eat local and drink local and Bottles is just the place to do that. The knowledgeable staff can teach even a seasoned beer drinker a thing or two about beer and the chicken wings could possibly change your life (so eat with caution). Great beer, great food, great atmosphere. Bottles.
We arrived at The Boatyard for an early dinner. After getting a tiny bit of “attitude” from the bearded host, we were enjoying a glass of wine and the first crab-dish of my Maryland tour-stop.
There’s nothing quite like an authentic Mojito, muddled with mint leaves and sugar, crafted with premium Bacardi signature rums and finished off with a juicy lime wedge; especially before or after a flight. It’s happening!
