Check-In to Gourmet Dining at JFK

If airport hot dogs and ham sandwiches are your thing then this post won’t mean much to you. If you believe in great food or nothing at all, then perhaps JFK should be on your next New York itinerary. After all, what’s wrong with passing away a possible flight delay with a sumptuous meal and a cocktail or two? Nothing I say.
JetBlue’s Terminal 5 is home to almost a dozen gourmet restaurants run by the terminal’s food operator OTG (“Oh That’s Good”…I made that up) which has brought in the talents of six celebrity chefs to keep the culinary offerings deliciously cutting edge, including Roberto Santibanez of Rosa Mexicano. You can join me at Happy Hour on Thursdays at their Brickell Village Miami location (free guacamole). The
restaurants you’ll find here were developed exclusively for this terminal; if you want names you recognize, hop the air-train to terminal 4.
At terminal 4, you’ll find the famous Caviar House & Prunier. They’re known globally for their Balik smoked salmon and Caspian caviar. In January, there will even be a Palm Bar and Grill opening within this terminal. The best part is that these restaurants are before the security checkpoint, so you can hop right back on the air-train if your leaving from another terminal.
Oh, one more thing about Terminal 5, there are many recharging areas for your electronics AND you can place your restaurant order from the gate on a touch screen!
