There is nothing more wonderful then settling back in an airplane seat at the beginning of a well-deserved holiday. It’s not until the headphone go on and I become completely isolated from the outside world that my entire being is convinced that it is really happening–that I am finally getting away!

The “Pan Am Bag” is becoming more hard to get than an Hermes Birkin, but darling, you must get your hands on one before they’re all gone!

Flying Virgin America from Fort Lauderdale to Seattle with a connection at Los Angeles (LAX) was something I was only sort of looking forward to. I had flown Virgin previously in first class from Los Angeles to New York JFK and was concerned that flying them in economy might actually be painful. Luckily for everyone on board, including myself, there was nothing but pleasure in store for me on board my Virgin America A-320

Today I am on the first leg of my journey on Amtrak to Vancouver from Seattle (4 hours) and then an 8 hour return leg to Portland. This is the second time in so many months that I have taken Amtrak in the Northwest United States and I have thoroughly enjoyed a very civilized experience they’ve created for their passengers; with just an exception or two.

This is not your Dad’s instant coffee of days gone by.
Boarding pass. Pan Am-covered Passport. Starbucks VIA Ready Brew (Italian Roast, thank you). Those are the only three items I need for a successful trip – business or vacation. Well, I guess a packed carry-on would be beneficial, too.
I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve used Via during a trip. Whether it’s because the hotel coffee offered was horrid or I needed a quick [...]

Well-Rested is an eye-brightening shadow base and is an essential for us here at The Jet List, The Sky Steward included. Yes, he uses Well-Rested, too.

As one who flies frequently, there are certain things I ALWAYS travel with. These items are essential to not only my carry-on bag, but also to my comfort away from home. Plus, they make unexpected delays a bit easier.
Antibacterial wipes. Be sure the germy plane surfaces and hotel room hot spots make your list of things to sanitize before using.
Starbucks Via. This is not your dad’s instant coffee. If the coffee provided is bad, I use Starbucks Via. Perfect for both [...]
