Blaming labor for its woes is has up until now been a very effective method used by the upper-management of American Airlines to pull attention away from their culture of arrogance and their glaring lack of skill; but I think you’ll agree that just a couple of the mistakes listed below would cause any company to lose altitude quickly.

Don Carty and family must spend more time on American Airlines’ aircraft than they do in any of their multiple homes. On April 13th, Don Carty and his wife and two children were seen settling into their first class seats on American Airlines flight 1252 from DFW to Toronto. What hutzpah they have!

At one time, it would appear that American Airlines viewed me as an one of the best flight attendants at the company. They must have since they had removed me from flying trips for years at a time to go on the road and “rally the troops” in a way that I had a gift for doing.

American Airlines has just filed a lawsuit against The Sky Steward for his videos, website and other internet properties that have uncovered the activities of the company’s executives including their practice of moving first class passengers to coach in order to provide them a seat in the front. American’s lawsuit accuses the Gailen David, The Sky Steward of everything from violating the American Airlines trademark to using the company’s information systems to access passenger information.

It was in October of 2006 that I was approached on FlyerTalk by a member, JonNYC, inviting me to join a new forum he was creating to compete with FlyerTalk. At American Airlines, employee stress has hit an all-time high . In the last year, there have been 18 attempted suicides and 9 suicides among American’s pilots and they are not the only workgroup that is suffering.
