If you’re a foodie and wine geek like me, you’re always looking for a new destination at which you can enjoy both. Recently TripAdvisor announced the results of their Traveler’s Choice Top 10 Food & Wine Destinations in the world, the United States, Europe, Asia, South Pacific, and Central and South America.

The top 10 U.S. food and wine destinations are as follows: Napa, CA; Charleston, SC, New Orleans, LA; Chicago, IL; San Francisco, CA; Sonoma, CA; Savannah, GA; Asheville, NC (my hometown!); Santa Fe, NM; and New York, NY.

If I were to recommend a U.S. trip based on the above cities, you can’t go wrong with a combination San Francisco/Napa/Sonoma food and wine vacation. The toughest part of planning will be deciding which of the many restaurants and wineries to visit.
