Bowling was popular in the 50′s and made a resurgence in the 80′s and today has been rediscovered yet again.   Once the province of teens and blue collar, bowling today is retro chic.   Looking to recreate the nostalgic glory days of bowling alleys,  Foxwoods is adding to its first class resort by adding luxury lanes.

In 1986 Foxwoods Casino, now the largest resort casino in North America, had its beginning when the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation opened a high-stakes bingo hall in Connecticut.  Today Foxwoods comprises six casinos that offer the most slot machines of any casino in the world, and nearly 400 tables for 17 different types of table games, including 100 dedicated for poker. There’s a state of the art Race Book, as well as the world’s largest Bingo Hall.  There are four hotels on the property (one is MGM’s Grand), spa services, restaurants for all tastes, a wide variety of stores,  swimming pools, and the excellent Lake of Isles golf course.

This summer High Rollers, a multi-faceted experiential bowling and entertainment complex, will open in the Grand Pequot Tower at Foxwoods.  High Rollers is a throwback to the glamorous days that successfully blends a nostalgic Vegas vibe with cutting-edge technology and a spirited menu to create a state-of-the-art adult destination. The 35,000 square-foot facility features:

  • 20 bowling lanes, 8 professional Brunswick Gold Crown billiard tables
  • Innovative bar menu created by award-winning chef Kevin Long
  • 2-level lounge, with piano, fireplace and a 50-seat custom marble bar
  • 2 private rooms accommodating up to fifty guests each
  • Private function space for 8 to 800
  • State of the art audio visual equipment, including over 50 big screen HDTVs

The 20 lanes at High Rollers include 6 VIP lanes and feature full food and beverage service. All lanes will be PBA approved regulation size, and offer a range of bowling ball sizes for players of all skill levels. The seating areas at the top of each lane will feature plush, oversized banquettes and enable patrons to enjoy the sights and sounds of music videos and major sporting events showcased on the oversized screens spanning each lane.
