Wouldn’t it be nice if the staff at the airport actually cared about your comings and goings? It’s a reality in Branson, MO at the nation’s first privately financed and operated airport. The personnel at this airport actually wave goodbye to each aircraft that departs; looking forward to the return of each passenger on board. Recently, when an airliner was diverted to Branson because of weather, the airport staff delivered food to the hungry passengers and crew.
So far, Air Tran and Sun Country offer low-fare flights to the airport. Is there anyway to move this airport business model to MIA? This “airport company” is definitely redefining the air travel experience from the ground up! I can’t wait for them to offer McTerminal franchises!

I can’t wait to visit Branson!
I have actually worked flights into here and let me tell you I have never had a nicer ground crew than here. The airport is small but nice and the people that work there including TSA were super hospitable. Just a small bit of historical info too the inside of the terminal is made from a de-commissioned wagon factory, like the wagons that the pioneers used, it smells really homey when you walk into the terminal. It is a very nice touch.
BTW, these are my views only and not the company I work for, sorry gotta add that in per my companies employee handbook.
If you ever get the chance, the Branson Airport is really something neat to check out. The inside of the terminal is beautiful and the scenery flying in and out is something you won’t see at most airports.
