What Happened in Vegas is So Sweet; I just have to share!

This was my first visit to CityCenter in Las Vegas and I have found my new home whenever I visit. In fact, I could actually live here– just give me a reason! On second thought, I’ve got reason enough.

The $8.5 billion City Center is the largest, privately funded urban project in US history and when you arrive in this amazing place, you’ll definitely understand why. I found luxury shopping galore at Crystals and although I was not there to shop, just spending time there was pretty inspiring. We enjoyed a scrumptious meal at the Todd English P.U.B.owned by my secret crush, Todd English. Yes, I said it! Delicious!

Roast Beef Sliders, Chicken Pot Pie and Macaroni and Cheese

My accommodations were at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino which I enjoyed; however, next time I will be staying at Aria or Cosmopolitan which are in an entirely different league. The Monte Carlo was a very easy walk  through the Street of Dreams shopping arcade and an adjoining tram ride away from Crystals. If you are unable to secure a room at one of the CityCenter hotels, the Monte Carlo is a great choice.

TIP: Monte Carlo offers a food court! I know, not what you would expect from The Sky Steward; but sometimes you want something quick. BTW, Fergie loves McDonald’s Double Cheeseburgers when we travel.

Vegas’ first public fine art collection; is right there at  CityCenter establishing the resort’s status as a significant cultural destination. The Fine Art Collection features works by international artists including Maya Lin, Jenny Holzer, Nancy Rubins, and Henry Moore, among others.

To shift gears a bit, the temperature stayed at around 110 degrees throughout my stay and I discovered that my hair really likes desert air. Did I mention that I could live here? It absolutely has to be in the CityCenter !

There are so many spots at CityCenter that I want to experience, including the spas. Salon Vdara is the only Las Vegas spa in the Green Spa Network. The Spa at Aria is an 80,000 sq. ft. spa  with an outdoor infinity-edge pool that offers amazing views. I really have to visit Vegas’ next time with absolutely nothing to do but lounge around now that I know where to do it!

I will be back in a flash; I can just feel it.

I looooove Vegas too! I’ve traveled there quite a bit in the last year (I have a friend who lives out there). Vegas is associated primarily with partying, gambling, clubbing, big budget Vegas shows and drinking. but it also gets overlooked but it’s classy side, hence City Center. there are so many hidden jewels (no pun intended) in the city underneath all the “sin,” it’s worth the hunt for sure.
