Pan Am Hostess 101

“Guests seated in the first class cabin are to be offered a cocktail or beverage upon boarding”

The Pan American Clipper Cocktail favored by 1930′s world traveler Charles H Baker and perfect by the Heaven’s Dog of San Francisco is a perfect choice. Feel free to add your own twist

Pan American Clipper Cocktail

• 2 ounces Calvados or other apple brandy
• 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
• 1/2 ounce pomegranate grenadine
• 3 dashes absinthe
• thin strip of lime zest, for garnish

Canapes: Canapes are bite-sized hors d’oeuvres made by assembling different ingredients on bread or a bread-like base (‘canape’ is the French word for ‘couch’), though these days the definition can be stretched. The interplay of colors, textures and flavors is what makes a canape attractive and intriguing . [LA Times]

Ice the Champagne

You may also choose more of a “Champagne Flight” theme which would be especially fitting for a premiere. My favorite is Veuve Clicquot as it goes so well with that jet-set feeling.
