Bula!

That is the Fijian equivalent to “Aloha!” You will hear it everywhere, every day, while visiting this breathtaking island nation. The only thing more beautiful than these islands themselves are its people: warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly.

While never having been fortunate enough to visit Fiji personally (yet!), I have sent many a delighted client there over the years. I’ve also had several industry colleagues visit her, only to return, starry-eyed, to regale me about all her many charms. As one who is on a never-ending quest for knowledge, I jumped at the chance to attend a recent mini-workship all about the latest and greatest news on Fiji – the oft-forgotten South Pacific option of many the honeymooner and jetsetter – and a country sometimes relegated to the “shadows” of her more glamorous “cousin,” Tahiti.

Located between North America and Australia, over 300 islands make up this magical archipelago; however, only about 100 are actually inhabited, and of those, the vast majority of the population resides on its 2 largest islands – Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. While its many islands offer the adventure seeker everything from premier scuba diving to whitewater rafting to surfing, nature lovers will be enthralled with its pristine waterfalls and rain forests.

The most popular reason for people to visit Fiji, though, is its impeccable beauty and romance, its unspoiled and uncrowded beaches, and its wide-array of posh accomodations that – relatively speaking – are a much better travel value than her neighbor to the east – Tahiti. Comparable accomodations here are a fraction of the cost than Bora Bora, for instance – yet no less idyllic. Fiji is that proverbial “Glass Slipper” many couples-in-love are looking for: that “perfect fit” of exquisite beauty, timeless romance, and ultimate travel value.

Of the several outstanding Fiji resorts mentioned in my mini-seminar, however, none stood-out quite as much as Namale Resort and Spa – located on the edge of the Koro Sea – and ranked #1 in Fiji.  Namale would certainly be the ultimate – and another one to add to my ever-growing list of “Champage Wishes and Caviar Dreams!”

Needless to say, a stay anywhere on this island paradise that is Fiji will be a most-welcome one to Yours Truly:

…They had me at Bula!

Have you been to Fiji? If so, please feel free to share your opinions! Thank you!
