These three resorts are all about unrestricted luxury. They provide a vacation experience that’s simply unforgettable and you’ll never have to leave their tropical havens. Sit back, relax and drink it all in.
If you’ve never experienced an all-inclusive vacation, now’s the time. NOT having to sign checks is so liberating and relaxing, as is the fact that there are no prices on the menus. You can eat and drink at your whim while relaxing in a drop-dead gorgeous setting.
Playacar Palace
A great resort for families, Playacar Palace offers 208 beautifully appointed rooms, all with double Jacuzzi, 24 hour room service, excellent dining services, a beautiful pool with a swim-up bar, and exquisite bars and lounges with views of the stunning Caribbean Sea and Cozumel Island.
Our June 2010 experience at Playacar Palace was wonderful. Great service, friendly attentive staff, clean facilities and decent food. My husband & I were happy, as were our two teenagers & our youngest (age 9).
The resort itself just has a great feel to it and the location simply can’t be beat. Anywhere. Period.
Le Blanc Spa Resort
I stayed at the opulent, adults-only, AAA Five Diamond Award Le Blanc Spa Resort in November 2010. Everything about it was perfect: my serene ocean-front room, the beach & pool, the fabulous staff, the wonderful food, my floor butler (each floor of the resort is hosted by a butler)…I had no complaints or worries at all.
The experience at Le Blanc is a relaxing, pampered one and every single detail has been covered. In fact, you don’t even need to pack a toothbrush or toothpaste because they’re provided along with my favorite Bvlgari eau thé blanc toiletries. Also supplied: a roomy Le Blanc beach bag, in-room liquor dispenser and individual-cup coffee maker.
I loved the cozy “white” feel of the resort and its clean lines. Don’t miss the degustation menu at the French restaurant, the pesto made table-side at the Italian restaurant and testing tequilas at the Lobby Bar. Also, ask your floor butler to bring you some champagne-on-ice when he’s done showing you your room. For added reassurance, arrange your airport transportation prior to leaving.
Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita
Honestly. There are not enough adjectives to describe this incredible AAA Five Diamond Award boutique-hotel paradise. My November 2010 visit left me with my jaw dropped because it’s one of the most amazingly beautiful resorts I’ve ever had the pleasure to experience. Absolutely nothing is overlooked.
Your extraordinary experience actually begins at the airport, believe it or not. You’ll be picked-up in one of the resort’s pearl-colored Lincoln Navigators and offered a glass of champagne (they had me at HELLO). The unassuming drive to the resort ends with an overwhelming feeling of relaxation as you step from the Navigator and into the resort’s easy-going mood. You just *know* this is going to be a place you’ll never want to leave.
The beauty of this resort and its surroundings will take your breath away! The food is unbelievable (Chef created a special menu for me, complete with wine & cocktails, just so I could get an all-around taste of the foods offered at Zoëtry), servers wear Crocs so they can bring your drink to you while you’re IN the pool, ground-level suites have private plunge pools, the spa is exquisite…I loved it so much that I’ll be returning in 2011.
